La Cocina is a family-owned chip brand in Manitoba known for its authentic and homemade feel. The challenge was to create an ad that showcases the brand’s flavours while connecting with a crowd that enjoys hosting movie nights, watch parties, and casual get-togethers. The message needed to work in an audio format.

I wrote a 15-second conversational script set in a grocery store, where two people decide which chips to bring to a hangout. The script featured the different flavours they offer. Sound effects such as rolling carts, background chatter, and checkout scanners help create the atmosphere without the visuals.

A produced Spotify ad that included scriptwriting and the implementation of sound effects in the dialogue. I learned how to use Spotify’s Ads Manager by setting the target audience, selecting interests and listening behaviours, and prepping the ad for the platform by including a cover photo.
